COVID-19 Response
All eligible voters in Edina can vote early by absentee either in person or by mail. Voters are encouraged to vote absentee by mail.

If it is necessary to vote in person, wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. If you are COVID-positive or symptomatic, do not enter city facilities.

2020 Election Calendar

Sept. 18 - Absentee voting begins

  • - no stamp needed, mail early enough to ensure Nov. 3 postmark
  • Ballot drop-off - available 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays at City Hall starting Sept. 24.
  • In-person absentee voting available

Nov. 2 - Last day for in-person absentee or direct balloting at City Hall

Nov. 3 - General Election

  • Voters must go to their . 
  • City Hall is not a polling place. 
  • Completed absentee ballots may be dropped off at City Hall parking lot drop tent from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
